WHO IS SQUARE 1?
Square 1 is/was/always will be a garage-based brand. Owned by Robbo (aka: Me; RenegadeRob; LegionMOB Rob; ShootMeRob; KeepitSquare;
PBNation - Renegadelegion4) who grew up in the heart of the Southern California Paintball Scene - at SC Village, Redlands, ASG, Camp
Pendleton and (last but not least) Russ’ Paintball Ranch! The days where we lived on PBNation during the week and balled-out on the weekends.
Square 1 started off over 10 years ago as a way for me to afford to show up and play events. After about 10 years of playing, I took my talents
to the sidelines and photographed events as a way to keep connected with the sport under the “KeepitSquare” brand often shooting for
various manufacturers and Propaintball.com. Many still wore the OG Square 1 headbands at events knowing that they would definitely get
photo love from me and the rest of the “PhotoMOB.” But eventually I moved on from the sport and Square 1 was no more.
The Square 1 Soldiers played on as a team and eventually taking the D4 “W” at the HK Army Surf City
Open (shout-out to Alan Tiki and the gang).

WHY ARE YOU BACK?
When I left the sport it was because I had a son and I needed to focus on my family and my health. Since then, we’ve moved to Texas, which oddly enough is a mecca-of paintball and freedom! My son is now 12 years old and wanted to “PLAY PAINTBALL!” So here I am getting back into the sport realizing that a whole lot has changed. There are companies retailing headbands for over $100s of dollars?!?! That’s crazy, but more power to em!
I do get it though. A headband is more than a piece of material. I remember what it felt like to get my very first HK Headband from Mike Breto. It was something special to me and that’s awesome. With the first go-round of Square 1, I loved the feeling of making something that players brought into battle with them, that represented them and their passion. So I decided to make some quality headbands that could give people that same experience without having to trade a marker for a limited edition headband. Again - nothing wrong with supply and demand and I respect that. I just want to give some options.
Square 1 is about high-quality, creativity and giving you head-gear that makes someone ask you “where did you get that?!?!”

Why list the “COMPETITION?”
This isn’t about competition, it’s about respect and creativity. I’m not trying to make a living at this,
Just trying to create some cool stuff that I would want to wear out there, that makes someone
feel good before they even know the outcome of a practice or an event.
